It's 16 minutes before the first pitch of the 2007 World Series and the full rosters of the Colorado Rockies and Boston Red Sox line the baselines. A large American flag is draped over the Green Monster and the Color guard stands alert behind home plate as the National Anthem, sung by the Boston Pops, has just ended. You can see fans in the ballpark looking skyward as F-16 fighter jets from the Vermont Air National Guard streak through the sky above Fenway Park.
Opening ceremonies are in such clear focus in this vibrant panoramic photograph that even the date (October 24, 2007) and time (8:21) are clearly visible on the center field scoreboard!
Opening Ceremonies - 2007 World SeriesWhat a scene from the Opening Ceremonies at Fenway Park before Game 1 of the 2007 World Series! You can easily see the numbers on the back of the Red Sox players, who are standing on the first base line. Orange streaks are clearly visible against the dark night sky from the F-16 fighter jets flying over the Green Monster. And the world famous Boston Pops Orchestra is standing in center field. An amazing atmosphere in Boston was forever preserved thanks to Massachusetts native Rob Arra, who specializes in ballpark photography. Rob's one-of-a-kind photos are taken with a specialized camera system that eliminates the blurring and striation often present in panoramic photographs. As an added bonus, scores of all four games of the 2007 World Series are in the bottom right corner, while the official Red Sox 2007 World Series Champions logo is in the bottom left corner. |
