This mosaic poster celebrates two famous Boston landmarks - the Citgo Sign and the city's baseball team. Over 200 Red Sox players spanning the team's 100-year history were chosen to appear on the poster. Most were starters for at least two years with the Red Sox, although there are some exceptions. A few less significant players were chosen based on notable accomplishments while with Boston, and most players from the 1946, 1967, 1975, 1986 and 2004 World Series teams are included. Big Papi, Cy Young, Dewey, Johnny Pesky, Jim Rice, Luis Tiant, Tim Wakefield, Ted Williams, and Yaz are among the 200 players that make up the mosaic. The most significant players, like Teddy Ballgame, have more than one photo. The unframed poster is made of 300 different player photos, primarily headshots, and the most the same image repeats on the poster is six times.
